Respite Trip

Mother and Daughter Travel to Pensacola Beach

April and her daughter, Chloe, on their respite trip in Pensacola Beach, FL

April, a single mother from Little Rock, faced the challenge of a lifetime when she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Facing a schedule of difficult chemo treatments, April's daughter, Chloe, made the difficult decision to take a break from college to care for her mother.

Last year, the Lymphomaniac Society awarded a respite trip to April to Pensacola Beach, so April could take some time for herself and take a break from the stresses cancer had placed on her life. April, along with Chloe, traveled to the beach where they could relax together away from the burdens of cancer.

"My daughter and I had a great time in Pensacola," April said. "The accommodations were beautiful and restful. We enjoyed perfect weather. We had three great days together on the beach, shopping, and eating at some great restaurants."

April said the most fun part of the trip was relaxing on the beach with her daughter and listening to the ocean. She said this was the best and most relaxing beach trip and was thankful for the anonymous donor who funded her trip.
