It's February and Valentine's Day is coming up soon. Check out this heart-warming story of a loving couple who celebrated their wedding anniversary while on a respite trip in Little Rock.
Jason and Jenny were already a busy couple when they received the news that Jason had been diagnosed with Lymphoma in May 2015. They were busy raising their three young boys while Jenny was carrying the couple's fourth child. Thankfully, Jason's doctor was able to schedule his treatments around the birth of the couple's fourth child.
Unfortunately, cancer did prevent Jason and Jenny from taking time for themselves and from properly celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. Earlier this year, Jason was awarded a respite trip from the Lymphomaniac Society and he and Jenny were able to travel to Little Rock to take the brief break they deserved.
"Jenny and I were able to reconnect as a couple and spend quality time together. The trip was special to us because it allowed us to celebrate our 11th anniversary in a way we otherwise would not have been able to after we missed our 10th anniversary due to cancer."
Jason said the trip to Little Rock was energizing and provided him and Jenny with just the break they needed.
"The trip was truly amazing! Although I still have years of follow-up appointments, the trip felt like a new beginning. It was so relaxing and refreshing to be able to spend a few days with my wife and not worry about anything."
